    Description

    If you have a
    "JohnnyRude"
    [OMC] 9.9 hp that you want to convert to 15 hp, you need this pipe -
    the one on the right
    - to get the full 15 ponies at the prop shaft.
    That also goes for a "fifteen" made from '74 thru 1980 -
    OMC had to put these tuned exhaust on the Johnson's and Evinrude's marketed as 15 hp starting in 1981
    to comply with Federal Trade Commission regulations as the pipe they had used for seven model years - and continued to use on the 9.9's -

    was too restrictive.
    If you don't have this, you don't have a "Fifteen" hp outboard-
    you basically have a Thirteen and a Half or worse!
